Housing Inspector

Code Enforcement & Rental Inspector

In this role, you will play a crucial role in ensuring compliance with housing codes and regulations, as well as promoting safe and healthy living environments for residents across Michigan.

• Conduct inspections of residential properties to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal housing codes and regulations.
• Investigate complaints related to housing code violations, rental properties, and property maintenance issues.
• Collaborate with property owners, tenants, and other stakeholders to address and resolve code violations in a timely manner.

Fire Protection System Inspector

In this role, you will be responsible for conducting inspections of fire protection systems in residential and commercial properties to ensure compliance with fire safety codes and regulations.

• Perform inspections of fire alarm systems, sprinkler systems, fire extinguishers, and other fire protection equipment to ensure proper installation, maintenance, and operation.
• Review building plans and specifications to ensure compliance with fire safety codes and standards.
• Conduct routine inspections of properties to identify fire hazards and potential violations of fire safety regulations.
