About MAHO Chapter

Founded in 1986, the Michigan Association of Housing Officials (MAHO) is a statewide nonprofit organization representing housing officials and local government code enforcement professionals dedicated to protecting persons, property, and the general public welfare. MAHO is committed to advancing professionalism within the industry by providing high-quality training and networking opportunities at the lowest possible cost to our members. Through quarterly seminars, an annual conference, and a wide range of educational resources, MAHO equips members with the knowledge and tools they need to succeed in their careers.

To provide education, resources, and networking opportunities to help our members succeed in their careers. To achieve this mission, MAHO offers a variety of training programs and resources, including quarterly seminars and an annual conference. We believe that by offering a diverse range of topics, we can help our members stay informed, inspired, and ahead of the curve.

Memberships available for the calendar year are as follows:

Principal Membership

Persons actively engaged in the enforcement of codes by a municipality.

Associate Membership

Private inspectors, landlords, builders, rehab specialists, etc.

Municipal Institutional Membership

For groups of 6 or more registering from the same municipality.

About the International Code Council

The International Code Council is a nonprofit association that provides a wide range of building safety solutions including product evaluation, accreditation, certification, codification and training. It develops model codes and standards used worldwide to construct safe, sustainable, affordable and resilient structures.
